Bradley did an excellent job. Punctual and very personable. Drained the heating system to remove a radiator in the utility room, replumbed the pipework and fitted a heated towel rail. Refilled and tested the system so it was working perfectly. In addition, Bradley replaced a faulty plug and waste trap to the bathroom wash basin, correcting a small leak. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend BCU Plumbing to anyone.

We have repeatedly called Bradley from BCU Plumbing whenever we have needed some plumbing work done at our house (we are currently having building work done), for changing all our radiators and for our regular boiler service. How do you know if a radiator needs bleeding?
The simplest way to tell if a radiator needs bleeding is the bottom half or pipes are hot and top cold. Todo this you will need a bleed key & rag, open bleed valve (you may hear the air) when you see water close valve. If you have a sealed system you may need to top up system pressure if gauge is below 1bar
Where is the best place to install a new boiler?
Each location will vary between each property, the easiest will mostly likely be in place of the existing one but luckily have many options with modern boilers and flue systems. Some people may prefer to have the boiler out of sight in a kitchen cupboard for easy future access and the next may need extra space and decide for it in the loft. The problem is with some of these are the additional costs of extending or upsizing the gas feed, or additional requirements within the system.
How much does it cost to install a new boiler in 2020?
The cost of a boiler install can vary massively between makes and system requirements. You will most likely be looking anywhere from £1500+. There are a lot of variables involved one end is a budget 2 year boiler for a affordable replacement and the other is a top end 10/12 year boiler with all the gadgets and tech. How many radiators? Straight swap or a system upgrade? Does a lot need upgrading? This is all something you should discuss with a Gas Safe Registered engineer.
