How long is a piece of string? The cost of a rewire is wholly dependent upon what the client requires. There really is no rule of thumb anymore. Budget for several thousand pounds and use a qualified and experienced electrician. When obtaining quotes, be completely honest with yourself about what you want. Data cabling to all rooms for internet, CCTV cabling for existing or future camera installation, whether or not Aerial points are necessary, suitable number of sockets to ensure that extension leads are not necessary and so on. It is cheaper to install everything during the rewire than for an electrician to come back afterwards.
