There’s no correct answer to how often and interior of somebody’s home should be redecorated. It all depends on the individual person. Some people like to keep up with the latest fashion and the newest colour choice so they may choose to redecorate every other year or so and some others are happy to leave redecorating until wallpaper is starting to full of there walls.

How often should a house interiour be painted? The worlds your oyster on this one... A house interior can be painted as many times as you would like it to be decorated. I personally decorate my own home every two years throughout the entire interior of property. It's all down to taste

Depending on how much traffic the house gets if it’s a family house with young children you might have to redecorate main areas every 2 years if it’s a quiet home 4-5 years should be sufficient it really all depends on how dirty it gets. You should use scrubbable / washable paint in areas of the house that get used frequently as in stairs and hallway

For your average living room/ lounge or hall stairs and landing then I would say on average between 4-6 years .For bedrooms I would say on average 5-8 years and for kitchens and bathrooms on average I would say every 3-5 years. These figures are based on a water based paint for the woodwork(trim) has oil based paints now tend to discolour within 18-24 months however you will get longer if using an eggshell
