I really couldn’t fault, Nathan. He worked out the fault very quickly after a previous electrician was unable to. He even went out shopping for the box after he had diagnosed the problem. Polite and obviously knowledgeable I would highly recommend him!

How much does it cost to rewire a 4-5 bedroom house?
For a full rewire in basic fittings for example 3 double white sockets to a room and 1 light pendant and 1 switch would be looking at around £3800 to £4600, could be much more would.depend on installation requirements and the environment of the installation, for example if rooms have laminated flooring would be significantly longer to complete job
How long does it take to replace a consumer unit / fuse board?
Duration of a board change is dependant on a number of factors, the size of a house, numbers of circuits within the house, faults on system, inadequate bonding, any additional items.thats are required to meet regulations, on average with no faults an engineer can be in and out in 5 hours, longer should be allowed should the factors above apply
How much does it cost to replace a consumer unit / fuse board?
Price would depend on size of a household, condition of current electrical cabling and fittings also, on average a board change can be anything from £425, factors such as bonding to gas and water, smoke alarms installed, current cabling passing required testing, if there is any sub boards present for example garage our out building

Big thanks and Great job Nathan at NY Electrical. Nathan gave our new house a total overhaul. Completely rewired our house, put in all new lighting and sockets inside and outside among a lot of other things to make our home much safer, modern and homelier. Nathan is a lovely hard working and approachable chap. All his blood, sweat and tears were much appreciated! He worked on our previous home as well. We will be having him back to undertake other projects as and when needed and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nathan to others.
