Hello,I have worked in the Plastering industry for over Fourty years ;holding City & Guilds Certificate serving a three year Apprentiship back in 1975 .Worked for a large Company for over thirty years before deciding to form my own company (MGA PLASTERING LTD) back in 2007 .we have Plastered or Rendered everything from a fire place to a house .We have also carried out same works over the years to Hospitals ,office blocks ,super markets ,football stadiums etc .We make every effort to providing a good honest service in Plastering and Rendering to both the satisfaction of Employer and Customer.We also hold Public Liability Insurance .

How long does plaster take to dry?
I would wait minimum one week before painting new plaster .Normally the surface would be pinky white when ready for paintwork,similar if using grey plaster.Plasterboard surfaces normally take 3/4 days where as backing plaster normally take 5/7 days to dry .You should ensure there are no dark patches on the plaster finish before painting,uniform light colour is a key sign that your plaster has dried thoroughly.The time it takes plaster to dry will have numerous factors eg;time of year,central heating,thickness of plaster.You should make sure that the room is well ventilated,opening windows and doors where possible to let natural ventilation dry the plaster.
How much does it cost to plaster a room?
Before offering a quote to plaster any areas of work I would advice a site visit to see what’s involved before providing a quote There are various types of plaster remidies that may be required eg re skim walls and ceiling ,fix new plasterboard ceilings,re plaster room and remove excisting plaster .Protection to fittings would need to be assessed,all the above before providing a quote
