I’d previously met Len when I accidentally locked my tenants and myself out of my tenanted studio. So I called him directly with my latest emergency. Len surveyed the damage within hours and rectified the problem the same day. His price was good - but as important in this case, he was careful and respectful towards a vulnerable tenant. I will certainly use Len for any future lock emergencies.

How much does it cost to change a lock on a front door?
As already stated by others on here, it will depend on the type of door/lock that you have. If you check out my webpage you will find a gallery section to help you identify your lock www.locknsecure.co.uk/gallery I would certainly advise getting 2-3 quotes before selecting someone to undertake the work and recommend you use a Trading Standards Approved (Buy With Confidence) tradesman for peace of mind. Getting a referral from a friend or family is always a useful source as well. Remember though that cheapest isn't always best so make sure that you are comparing like for like.
Should I change door locks if I've lost my house keys?
Clearly a personal choice but I would definitely change my door locks if a set of keys were lost, handed out to tradesman or I was moving into a new property. For an reasonably inexpensive one off cost it provides an invaluable peace of mind and security. However before choosing someone to do it, I would get 2-3 quotes from reputable Locksmiths maybe through your local Trading Standards organisation (Buy With Confidence) or get a recommendation from friends and family.
How to turn off a house / burglar alarm?
As already mentioned in the other answers there could be multiple methods to disarm an alarm system depending on the make and model. If in doubt either contact an experienced alarm expert or try using Google to search for the manufacturer as they often have online manuals, FAQ's or online chat options to help you find the answer you need.
