Can not fault Harrison came when he said he was coming completed all the work in a professional manner. He even helped me move a very heavy dinning table i purchased for when the lounge dinner was finished. Well mannered nothing is to much trouble for him. Tidied up after all his work and made sure we where completely happy with his work. No hesitation in recommending him to anyone in fact I already have he's doing some work for our neighbour on our recommendation.

Harrison decorated our 3 bedroom house inside and out during lockdown (empty house). His attention to detail in the preparation and undertaking of the work was brilliant. He went above and beyond my expectations and I cannot fault any of his work. Each day I received text messages to say what he’d done and what he was going to do next. I would highly recommend Harrison to anyone looking for a tradesman whose attention to detail is amazing. I am extremely happy with the end result and will be ringing him again when the house needs any decorating doing!

Harrison has completed quite a few jobs for us now mostly on another property however this time he was asked to redecorate the nursery/baby room in my main residence. The room was used as a guest-room, quite plain and just a feature wall in black and white wallpaper. Harrison prepared the room, stripped the wallpaper, sealed the walls properly and painted the 3 walls in the colour I chose. He also managed to bring my feature wall vision to life by doing an abstract geometric design in 4 separate colours. All woodwork was also repainted to refresh the whole room. Everything was taken away and the room cleaned when the job was finished after 4 days. Highly recommended indeed!

Hired to redecorate living room which included removing wallpaper from walls and ceiling, removing coving from ceiling and painting all walls, living room door and radiator. Even though it wasn't in the original plan, painted skirting boards and filled in the wall above fireplace after fake bricks were removed by another trader. Very professional and polite with great attention to detail and value for money. Have asked to come back for further work in hallway and stairs!

Is painting exterior brick a good idea?
Painting brickwork can really look good. The best way todo this is use the correct Masonry paint & it is so important to thin the first coat of masonry paint down before you apply it as this helps it absorb into the brick and will prevent it peeling or cracking in the future. The only problem with painting the brick is it will become a regular maintenance issue repainting every few years.
How much do painter and decorators charge per day?
Most decorators charge £90-£210 in the East Midlands area. The price is very dependent on skill set of the decorator & how much time served they have done. But most decorators will charge ‘price work’ rather than ‘day rate’ A day rate price is more for when the decorator is working for another company or the customer insists a day rate.
How much does it cost to paint a 6 panel door?
If we are talking about a standard interior 6 panel door, the rates vary from the type of finish you’d like. Most standard 6 panel doors come ‘pre primed’ so they will need one undercoat & 1-2 coats of the finish coat, in between all of this you have to factor in sanding & filling. The average rate for a 6 panel door in East Midlands would be £15-£20 for one coat for one side of the door.
