How often should a house be rewired?
Generally every 25 years but an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) every 5 to 10 years would give you a good indication of how the installation is fairing you.
What is the average cost to rewire a house?
The cost of a rewire is dependent on client requirements. For a 3 bed I’ve priced anything from £3k to £10k for higher end finish with cctv and alarm. As I want to move towards full home automation I can see those cost will significantly rise.
