We were extremely grateful that we used a qualified professional for our annual boiler service. During his servicing routine, Chris detected a small gas leak that we were unaware of. Clearly had this gone unnoticed the effects could have been disastrous. The National Grid Emergency team attended and sorted out the leak, which was on their side. Chris arranged to come back at 8am, which he did, as scheduled, to complete and sign off the job. Very happy with his work and glad he had professional equipment that detected the small gas leak. Definitely recommend.

Really impressed with the whole experience, from initial call to fix. Got in touch on Friday afternoon, and Chris came Monday morning 8am to fix, despite being very busy. He was prompt in texting me on Friday after our initial call with a price/date/time too. Job finished in time for me to get to work for 9am, and at a good price too. Recommended to me by a work colleague and would recommend to others.

Is a boiler service a legal requirement?
It is not a legal requirement to get an annual boiler service. But if the boiler is under manufacturers warranty and you do not get it serviced each year they will void the warranty. Regardless if it’s not a legal requirement. But it’s good practice to have it done and gives you peace of mind
How often should a boiler be serviced?
All boiler manufacturers require a service every 12 months. But again if a fault occurs before the 12 months or any time there is nothing wrong with servicing the boiler again. Always better to keep on top of it. Each service will require the engineer to fill out the manufacturers instructions book which should come with the boiler. If you do not have the book no problems as a lot of engineers will give you a certificate.
Why does the pressure keep dropping on my combi boiler?
The most common fault is the pressure relief valve. Again this can be checked and easily fixed. The next common fault is a leaky pipe or radiator again a bit help from a engineer should solve the problem the leaky pipe or radiator is not as easily fixed if it’s not exposed and is hidden underneath the floors or hidden within the walls.
