It’s always going to be a nightmare situation to sort out when you smell gas in the house during the Xmas/ New Year period and the emergency gas service confirms a leak from an unknown source. Fortunately, we contacted Dan from DC Heating & Plumbing. He kept in touch and fitted in the appointment at the earliest opportunity. The problem was identified and he was able to carry out the emergency repairs the same morning. Result. Have booked Dan for gas boiler service and will recommend to friends & family.

Dan arrived promptly and worked efficiently, he was very friendly, also the plasterer and decorator. They tidied up their tools each day. and finally hoovered up before the decorator left. All the old equipment and rubbish was taken away. I highly recommend this Firm who have been so pleasant and reliable. Gillian.

No time was wasted and the first stage of removing all the sanitary ware, tiles done, walls had to have ew plates board and then plastered, all done by early evening, house left clean and tidy.

What are the benefits of powerflushing?
There are huge benefits to carrying out a full powerflush on a central heating system, if done correctly and in conjunction with quality system cleaners a powerflush can remove the majority of dirt, sludge or build up of iron oxides from inside the existing radiators as well as the central heating pipework. In removing this from the system it will make the heating perform at a much better efficiency, dirty sludged up water will take alot longer than clean water to heat up, it will remove blockages aswell as proving the correct working function of the radiator
What are the benefits of installing an unvented cylinder?
the main benefits of installing an unvented hot water cylinder is it delivers hot water at mains pressure, it gets rid of the need of a big cold water storage tank in the loft space which in turn will free up more storage space. it can be realistically sited anywhere in the house as long as the discharge pipe can be run safely to outside. you get a much faster re heat time for the hot water which again adds to the efficiency and saves money. you will find that you can run multiple taps or outlets and will not notice that drop in pressure or flow like you would when using a combination boiler for example obviously there are cons and things to consider such as the cost of installation is higher and there are certain safety features to consider along with the need of a minimum cold main pressure and flow rate
What is the best combi boiler?
At DC Heating and Plumbing we advise customers on which boilers we recommend, i am a firm believer in learning about a product and sticking with a product you rely on and have faith you wont be getting call backs, i recommend the Ideal Vouge as my top of the range model which comes in the combination boiler and the system boiler and for the lower end i stick with ideal and go for the ideal logic plus, for both boilers you get a great customer warranty 7 - 10 years, there ease of installation compared to some models which in turn benefits the customer and i have never had an issue if ideal are called out to a boiler fault. they are extremely competitive on cost when comparing to other well know manufacturers. they give you the options for all of there own independant heating controls and offer all of the things needed to stay boiler plus compliant. a great bit of kit at a competitive price
