We had a concealed shower which became faulty ( control knob issue, but no spares available). Ryan assessed the options for us and recommended a surface mounted shower as we rent the property to holiday guests. He removed the faulty unit and made good the tiling. Fitted a new Mira shower which looks impressive with soaker head and handset. Ryan couldn’t have been more helpful and fitted in the job around his other commitments which we are really grateful for and allowed us to minimize inconvenience to guests. Thanks Ryan for your care and attention and keeping us updated.

Booked an annual gas service on my boiler through Corgi. The service revealed a few problems left by the previous occupant. Some will be dealt with under Corgi insurance, the rest were dealt with by Concannon, who were prepared to come out at the weekend, to complete their job.

What are the benefits of installing an unvented cylinder?
Unvened Cylinders in my opinion is the best way to go when considering a new system (especially larger properties). The unvented cylinders operate with a variety of different solutions including solar panels. The flow rates are outstanding when fitted correctly and work better than any combination boiler while freeing up space in the attic or top half of airing cupoard depending on where the cold water storage tanks are. All systems are subject to customer needs and we will asses the property before installing as we know how crucial it is to get the right system.
What is the best combi boiler?
Combination boilers are very much based on customer needs. If the customer needs high flow rates, Atag are unbeatable and include a 10 year warranty on all boilers. If a customer doesn’t need high flow rates then a Ideal or Baxi boiler should be considered. When we price we asses each customers needs. Ideal boilers range in price depending on the warranty length. (5, 7, 10 and 12year warranty) and the performance is outstanding for the price. The other option (baxi) are great little boilers, very nice laid out inside and again offer a range depending on customer needs.
What is the best smart thermostat in 2020?
Nest are probably the best thermostat on the market at the moment (tado shouldn’t be ruled out) but my go to choice for customers are the EPH controls. EPH have been developing their products so they are user friendly and are kept at a great price. When pricing our jobs we do a price with EPH and give an option to upgrade. This way the customer really gets to choose
