Ben was very quick at calling me back and very soon call to fix the problem, unfortunately it was a combination of timer and pump, bur was quickly and efficiently done, I was very impressed with his work ,and once covid is over he is coming back to fit a new bathroom for me. I'm retired engineer and was impressed by the way he worked and communicated re the heating problem, that is why I have asked him to do my bathroom.

Ben offered an excellent service. Within a couple of hours of the part arriving in stock, it was fitted and the system was fired back up and running again. He cleaned out the unit and explained what he was doing at every step of the process! Also gave his opinion on the general health of the other parts. I was really pleased with every aspect, including the price! Thanks Ben!

How often should I powerflush my central heating system?
A powerflush isn't necessary too often, especially on newer sealed systems ie combination and system boilers. The reason for this is that, water only has a certain amount of oxygen in it. Once that oxygen has been used for corrosion, no more corrosion can take place. Historically heating systems were plagued with sludgy black water due to the nature of the old open vented systems (tanks in the attic)allowing fresh oxygen to be introduced into the system. It might be advisable to have a power flush if you're replacing a boiler that has been poorly serviced, causing the water pressure to drop and constantly needing new water to be introduced to re pressurise the system. Getting your boiler serviced is essential. They will last 15 years plus if they are serviced properly.
Can furniture be placed on top of underfloor heating?
Of coarse, but its not advisable to fit under kitchen units as can cause cupboard contents to heat up and cause food to go off. Although a lot of thought should go into the layout of your underfloor heating as once its fitted thats it, its part of the structure of your building. Especially the conventional wet system types.
What is the best combi boiler?
We are a Baxi Associate, here at Vavougas Limited and in our opinion, the Baxi 600 series is the best combi boiler on the market now. It's a very good looking boiler, which is extremely easy to install and equally as easy to service. You don't find any of the plastic manifolds which you find in many boilers nowadays - It's mainly brass inside the 600 series. It's also a perfect fit for your average 3 bed semi-detached home with 1 bathroom. At Vavougas Limited, we install Baxi 600 Series for £1,500 + VAT. This includes the full installation, i.e parts and labour.
