Just had a combi boiler fitted by Alfs gas. Very impressed to say the least with the quick response to getting the job started as we had no water or heating from our old boiler. Over the moon with the install Ben has done for us very smart job. I couldn't reccomend this company enough.

We had our old boiler and hot water tank taken out and replaced with a new combi boiler. Alf hand delivered the quote and Ben turned up on ready to start work by 8am on the agreed day. The quality of his work was second to none and he was polite and respectful throughout. Would definitely recommend Alfs gas to anyone.

How to re-pressurise a Worcester Bosch boiler without a key?
If the integral filling loop is of the type which requires a key then it cannot be filled without the key being in position. Replacement keys are readily available from any good plumbers merchant. An alternative would be to have an external filling loop fitted. Some people find it difficult to correctly align the key and may find an external filling loop to be a better option.
What common problems are there with Worcester Bosch boilers?
There are several common faults that occur with Worcester boilers. Pin hole in the flow manifold. This results in a fine mist of water being sprayed all over the internal components and can lead to costly repairs if not dealt with swiftly. Next is the domestic hot water flow cartridge leaking. This is located above the divertor valve motor and later models now have a rubber cover over the motor to help prevent motor damage when this part invariably leaks.
What is the best Baxi boiler?
Without doubt the best boiler in the current Baxi range is the 600. Quiet as a mouse, light enough for a one man lift, compact cupboard fit, rear piping facility without the need of a spacer frame, brass manifolds, integral filling loop and 7 year warranty. To date we've installed over 100 of these boilers without a single call back.
