Lee Swain and his team did a great job providing us a wet room that meets our needs perfectly. Lee sourced some amazing shower cubicle doors that are so flexible to create a shower space or folded back to create space for a shower wheelchair, and they look really smart. We definitely didn't want a wet room that looked like a hospital - ours looks modern but is completely practical. All the work was carried out to a very high standard by qualified gifted craftsmen. They included me in all discussions as to where to place toilet, basin, grab rails, shower on/off. They really listened to my needs. The works included; re routing pipework, new sensor switched lighting system, new extractor fan and venting, moving a wall affecting two rooms to make way for 2 new extra wide doors for future wheelchair use. Rebuilding one side of the airing cupboard and creating a new good size cupboard inside the wet room - in a space gained when the wall was moved. The shower tray was dug from our concrete floor and a special tray fitted in flush with floor, slip proof Altro flooring was laid throughout and Lee took great pains in making sure it was laid correctly by the flooring company, as this was so important for the integrity of the whole wet room.The ceiling was re plaster boarded and then the whole room was re plastered. Specialist waterproof boarding was used to make two sides of the shower area, and along the wall behind the new basin and new toilet. The whole team were very careful with our privacy for the time we had no doors and wall between bedroom and wet room. I was always consulted when water , gas or electricity were going to be off so I could plan washing etc. All piping and wiring was expertly hidden within the build. The finish on boarding edges, around doors, and basin and toilet is well done and neat. Lee as the boss and project manager always had his finger on the pulse, and dealt superbly with a major problem with the flooring, which was not his or his company's team's fault. All was corrected and is now laid properly and sealed fully. Everyone was professional in their attitude and work, but friendly, approachable and above all trustworthy, and a pleasure to have working in our home. When they were done they tidied up and vacuumed the floors affected. I would like to thank every one involved, Lee for making it happen smoothly, Carl ( who cheerfully and skillfully did a huge portion of the works), Taylor apprentice, Gary a great carpenter, Dan & Danny who left our newly plastered walls feeling like silk, & Scott the electrician. The final invoice had no nasty surprises as Lee had worked with me to get a good fit to our budget. His pricing was good value for money and very good quality of work maintained throughout.
