Started working as a painter and decorator with a friend who already ran a painting business, learning the ropes. Early 1987, started playing around with paint effects. September 1987, started working at Harrods doing marbling and other paint effects, with The Picturebox Company . Stayed with The Picturebox Co, through the late 80's and 90's, doing mainly high profile paint finish work, and extensive new kitchen painting, detailed below. (Barclay Bros castle, Multiple projects for The Fabric Shop/Zambelli & Friend, Nicky Haslam, Harvey Nichols, and others). Early 2000's, decided to leave London work and started doing mainly local residential work on my own, trading as Andrew Bigwood Painting and decorating. Continued to do the odd 'special' job when needed including woodgraining and stone finishes. Still working in this way, almost entirely on referrals. Moved from West Clandon to Addlestone at the beginning of 2017, and after a period of trying to make a shift over to a living from photography, I decided to re-focus on painting and decorating, and early in 2018, rebranded as Brush Finish, with a focus on kitchen and furniture painting.Founding member
