What are the benefits of installing an unvented cylinder?
Unvented pressurised cylinders are great for the larger family home. They offer pressurised hot water to all your taps and showers with very little pressure loss if more than one shower/tap/bath is running at the same time. They can be installed into your system without the need of changing your boiler but depending on the age of the boiler it might pay to change them both at the same time.
What is the best combi boiler for a 2-3 bedroom house?
Most boiler manufactures offer large warranties now ranging from 5 to 12 years as long as the appliance is serviced each year by a gas safe registered engineer. I personally would recommend an Ideal Max 24 or 30kw boiler depending on how much hot water flow rate you required. The ideal boiler is cheaper than The Vaillant and the Worcester and off the same length of warranties. These boiler have been voted the best house builders boiler for the last 3/4 years running.
What are the benefits of powerflushing?
By having a powerflush on your heating system you are prolonging the life of your boiler and the whole system thus enabling it to work more efficiently and effectively. This will reduce your gas bills and heat your house a lot quicker. I would always advise to have a system filter installed after the powerflush. When air, water and metal mix this causes the sludge and iron fillings in the system, the filter will trap these and prevent them from travelling around your system, in turn keeping your system clean without the need to have a powerflush again at a future date
