Probably because hot water supply is low pressure, fed from storage tank in loft, and cold water mains pressure, to check this, turn off cold water stopcock on incoming water supply, usually under sink, check that it turns of water, then turn on hot tap, to see if you still have water, if you do this would tell you that water to hot tap comes from storage tank.

There’s many reasons but here’s a few. - the hot water isolation valve is only partially open - water filter blocked to boiler - you have a gravity system for the hot water system and mains supply for the cold (unbalanced system) - scale build up in the unvented cylinder supply pipe/outlet pipe - gravel/muck blocking combination valve to unvented cylinder

We at Balos S Q Heating believe that they might be two main issues your combi boiler have reduce water flow and that may be due to water filter in your boiler blocked with debris or you got gravity tank that unfortunately provides a low water flow we advise to call a heating engineer as they might be more serious problems inside a boiler

If your hot water pressure is low but cold is working fine, this is likely to be your gravity hot water system, the height of the header tank will determine the head of pressure on the hot water, also pipe sizing, scale, incorrect tap outlets fitted can all be factors to low pressure hot water. The cold water is mains pressure. BoilerOne recommend you consult a verified plumber to diagnose the problem.

This could be due to various reasons but the most common being that many home owners have combination boilers which by their very nature reduce the flow rate of the hot to sufficiently heat cold water instantly as it passes through the heat exchanger Others include having mains at the kitchen tap but gravity hot water or if you have an unvented hot water cylinder and it hasn’t been installed correctly (the multifunctional valve) will give you unequal pressure It should be installed to provide equal hit and cold water pressure

This could be a few problems depending on your system. If you have a hot water tank (conventional system) then the hot water supply is gravity fed and the pressure can be quite low depending on the height of the storage tanks in loft (the higher the tank, the more pressure you have) With combination boilers the hot water has to be heated as it passes through the boiler, as a result will be slightly less pressure than the cold. If you already have a poor mains pressure this can lead to poor hot water pressure. Generally the pressure is good if the cold mains supply is also good. Another issue may be limescale build up in taps, pipework or boiler plate heat exchangers that would need investigating.

This is a common complaint and is usually down to the system you have. Combi boilers usually give you lower hot water pressure as they have a flow rate to be able to heat up the water. the conventional hot water cylinder with a tank in the loft relies on gravity so the pressure all depends on the height of the cold water storage tank. the higher it is the better the pressure. There could also be an issue with scale building up on taps and pipes limiting the amount of flow, certain fittings on the pipe work could also be a cause.

This cam depend on what system you have in your home . If you have a combi boiler the pressure will be slightly less than the cold as the boiler has to heat the water as it goes through it. If you have a conventional system ( cylinder and water tanks) this is probly due to the night of the water tanks and cylinder position. Also you could have a lime scale build up what could be slowing the flow of water.
