when a boiler starts to vibrate or start making banging noises it can be due to various faults. banging noises are normally when the boiler stats to 'kettle' this is due to lack of water in the boiler or due to sludge in the boiler system so the boiler is struggling to circulate. it may even be that the circulating pump has broken and is causing the banging to happen. vibrating noises from a boiler can be the pump or can be the fan in most cases. sometimes the fans can get buckled like a old bike wheel or sometimes the can dry out and go faulty. call www.iplumbleeds.co.uk and we can offer some advise on 0113 80 567 83

If your boiler is marking vibrating and banging noises this could be due to sludge or limescale within the heat exchanger, the lack of circulation within the heat exchanger will cause the boiler to overheat and boil the system water air lock is another cause of this where steam will occur within the heat exchanger. Noises also relate to combustion on the gas valve settings. BoilerOne recommend you consult a gas safe registered engineer to diagnose the problem.
