A boiler has many parts that make it work and any of these being faulty will lead to the boiler not firing up. To start with the basics (often overlooked) you need to establish if the boiler is being asked to fire up, Is the room thermostat or programmer working? (does it require batteries?) are the motorised valves (where fitted ) moving, is there a display light and power going to the boiler (the fuse maybe faulty or fuse board tripped) Moving on from demand is there gas at the meter? in many circumstances this can be tested by lighting a hob or gas fire, if there is a pump fitted externally to the boiler is it working and showing signs of life? Finally, most modern boilers will show a fault code or display a sequence of fault lights , this can then be checked against the manufacturers user instructions, if they are not present they can be found with a google search

There could be lots of reasons why your Baxi boiler is not firing up. Firstly check the simple things like is there power to the boiler, are the controls set to on, is the room thermostat turned up. Then check if there are any error codes on the boiler and try resetting these if there are. Also check the gas is turned on and if its a prepayment meter check you have credit for gas. If after checking these things you still have problems you will need a Gas safe Registered engineer to take a look.

Your Baxi boiler could have stopped working for various reasons. First check you have any external controls such as thermostats and timers turned on and calling for heat, then check the dials on the boiler have not been switched down low or off. If the boiler is flashing a fault code you can try a reset by pressing the reset button, check the gas supply is on by trying another gas appliance or checking the emergency control valve at the meter is in the on position, if you have a prepayment meter check this has credit and is displaying "on". If these steps still don't rectify your problem you should seek profesional advice from a Gas Safe Registered heating engineer

There can be a lot of reasons why your Baxi boiler may not be firing up. Sometimes there maybe a problem with PCB or the boiler control (thermostat). If your boiler has any fault codes & does not reset after 3 attempts of resetting your boiler then call your local gas safe engineer or Baxi approved engineers they can investigate & diagnose the problem.
