for a domestic situation we would use Aico due to their many options, with smoke, heat and Co detection they also off radio link witch is great for retro fitting where you cant link, we an also make the smokes so the can be tested from a remote location via a bridge if you have something bigger such as a HMO or Office you will need a FRA (fire risk assesment) this will determine what type of system will need to be designed installed and maintained

For a domestic property I would recommend using aico mains powered detectors with a battery back up. Installed correctly they all link together, so if one detector goes into alarm all of them will. All fire detection systems must comply with BS5839, if you have a HMO you may have to use a different type of system depending on the fire risk assessment.

There are many types of fire detection available depending on what the situation is. We recommend interlinked fire detection by Aico for domestic properties which carry lots benefits. Anything specified should be installed in accordance with BS5839. If you are a Landlord or business you should always start fire detection with a risk assessment.
