Cliff Plumbing & Heating Limited answered the question "What is the Worcester Bosch boiler E9 fault / error code?"

E9 fault code is an overheat code. This could be a few reasons why relating to the heat exchanger blocked, faulty pump, faulty wiring or sensors. The main causes of the E9 fault code would be the heat exchanger blocked or faulty pump, but this would need investigating by a qualified gas safe engineer. Usually this fault code can be repaired and would not need a new boiler.
