MasterGas Heating & Plumbing answered the question "What is the Worcester Bosch boiler E5 fault / error code?"

Hi there. An E5 fault code is related to an overheat of the flow pipe, this could be caused by several things: PRV (pressure release valve) blockage, or failure Faulty NTC thermistor Broken heating pump Limescale build-up The boiler will go to lock-out to prevent the boiler running at dangerously high temperatures and cause damage to the heat exchanger so shouldn’t be reset if it is possible to often.
