The A1 281 fault code on a Worcester boiler refers to a pump that is either stuck, or that's running but with air in the system. The PCB has recognised that the system has little pressure, and therefore the pump is running dry. You can bleed the pump by unscrewing the silver cap with a flat screwdriver (once the pump is turned off) a little water will come out which is normal. You can also bleed all radiators to check for air in the system and then re pressurise the heating system to 1-1.5bar or as per manufactures instructions.
