The 9A error on a Worcester-Bosch boiler would indicate that there is an issue with or the incorrect HCM (Heat Control Module) is installed. Press the reset button for no more than a second or two to reset the boiler, if the code re-appears, then it will need a Gas Safe registered engineer to investigate it further.

Worcester Bosch EA fault code covers more than one possible fault within the boiler, below is a list of the potential faults that could of happened Failure of four ignition attempts. The boiler waits 30 seconds before another attempt is made An established flame has been extinguished. This could be caused by: moisture in the sump, due to a blocked sump/condensate trap, a strong wind into the flue Gas valve coil disconnected Flame not established during the first 4 seconds ignition period There is an error where the pump is not detecting water – check pressure gauge and repressurise to 1 bar With any fault with a Gas fired boiler please contact a Gas Safe Registered Engineer to carry out the repair on your appliance. Always be Safe than sorry
