A vaillant boiler with an error code F10 relates to flow NTC short circuit. This can be that the NTC is defective, a short circuit in the cable harness or cable/casing. These can be checked using an electrical tester to determine any issues with it. A loose connection will also cause this issue and. Have had in the past after a service.

A vaillant boiler with an error code F.10 relates to a short circuit to the thermistor on the heating flow, we would test the thermistor itself and test the cables from the pcb also looking for any damaged cables or loose connections. BoilerOne recommend you consult a gas safe registered engineer to diagnose the problem.

Hi I’m Greg from Landlord & Homeowner Gas Services. The F.10 fault code on a Vaillant boiler is likely to be a short circuit in the flow sensor. The likely causes are the following: -Plug on sensor has short circuit to ground on casing -Short circuit in cable harness -Defective sensor Please ensure all work is carried out by a qualified Gas Safe engineer Thanks Greg Landlord & Homeowner Gas Services
