It all depends on how it’s installed really as it’s the same with anything. Air source heat pump are a good source of heat as long as the system is fitted to a highly insulated house. We only got Vaillant Air Source Heat Pumps as they have a very good warranty and great after care service. Make sure you have it serviced every year to keep up with any potential issues and to keep warranty guarantees.

Depending on brand and how well it’s installed. If installed to industry specifications heat pumps will last as long as any gas and oil boilers. You will however need to get it serviced on a annual basis ( same as gas and oil boilers) We as a company use Mitsubishi and Daikin, our first install was in 2007 and was a Mitsubishi ecodan, it is still going strong today With the new rules coming into force ref gas and oil boilers it will not be long before air source will be heat source of choice
