System cost really depends on the type of system needed. Remember the system is there to protect your home and family and therefore should be 100% reliable. A site survey should be completed first to discover what system will best suit the property and clients needs. A professionally installed and maintained system can last for years so be sure to pick an installer and system that you feel most comfortable with.

Installation generally start from £550 upwards. It all comes down the the area you are from and what alarm system you are looking to get and how many sensors, door contacts ect you need for your property or business. For a wireless alarm I would say go for pyronix and for wired I would suggest galaxy alarm.

This varys really on the customers needs for example how may PIR's do you need how many door contacts would you require shock sensors or any other ancillaries. The best thing would be to have an installer come out to your home and do a survey. The typical installs start from about £650 for hard wired and £500 for wireless.

The cost of a Security alarm system will be based on the requirements that the person may require. A good company should come and carry out a full site survey and look at the requirements and advise on the best systems that suit the place. On average a typical wireless alarm system should cost around £699 for adequate system.

Costs of alarm systems depends on what you are having installed/ upgraded. For example a Texecom Veritas/ ADE Accenta / Eurosec CP8L are likely to be cheaper to buy units than a Texecom Premier Elite, Honeywell Galaxy, or a Lightsys 2 alarm system. Wireless parts are much more expensive than there hard wired equivalents however usually quicker to install, especially in an occupied building. If you add communication devices like wifi, ip, gsm or other device these can significantly increase the cost of an alarm system.

This is a question I am asked many times when receiving an enquiry. The cost of works varies on the works required. This can be from a simple upgrade to an existing system where the wiring is already in position to installation of a complete new system (wired or wireless) The more detection and specification required the greater the cost of works. Does the insurance state the alarm has to be monitored by an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC)? Does it require police response? If so you are looking at increased and monthly costs. It all depends on the customers requirements. I would highly recommend deterring from DIY systems and have peace of mind that a reputable, professional security company have carried out the works.

Installations generally start around £600, A site survey is always required not only to discuss your requirements and provide an accurate quote but also to test wireless signal strength and identify possible problem areas. Wireless systems are more expensive to buy but will usually save on labour costs. Beware of cheap off the shelf products if you want a reliable system.

The cost varies depending on the size of the property to be protected, amount of equipment required, which equipment is specified, and whether it is a wired or wireless system. Any reputable installer will want to do a quick survey of the house and have a chat to you, both to be able to specify the correct system for your property and to ensure that it will fit in with your lifestyle too. As a very general start point, a good quality but basic Intruder system for an average family home would start from £500 installed.

The cost varies greatly depending on the size and complexity of the alarm system. A simple system could contain just one pir sensor per room to generally cover the room. A more robust and sensitive system you could have vibration sensors fitted to the windows on the downstairs. You can connect outside lighting, security gates and all sorts of external controls into the alarm. A honest professional alarm installer will be able to discuss your requirements and suggest the correct way to protect your property. Be vary wary of the company’s that offer alarms for £299.00 as these will be alarms of poor quality and you will likely have a poor installation job carried out. Also be wary of installing an DIY alarm these are designed to be simple systems and simple to install. They can simply be unplugged and disarmed easily by any willing criminal. They also require batteries to be changed regularly. If the batteries in the sensors run out this will mean that the system won’t be protecting your property properly

Alarm specifications vary on what is needed so cost cant be guessed. A properly trained system installer will always conduct a risk assessment of your premise and design you a system off this assessment. Be vary careful with deals stating "full installation only £299" most of the time these are just to get the seller in the door where the cost increases, also this type of system may not suit your needs.
