It really depends on the size off the business. Again for small businesses we would install Hik or dahua which are budget friendly and can be viewed remotely larger commercial sites we would again most probably use IP cameras Hik. But it all comes down to the what the customers requirements are.

CCTV needs to be fit for purpose, when it comes to value for money Hikvision and Dahua systems tend to represent goo value at both budget and higher end models. Seeing someone on the premises is very different from identifying someone on the premises, see a car is different from reading its number plate.

The simple answer is that the best CCTV system for business or commercial use, is the system that fits the clients requirements. Sounds like a cop out, true. Its correct though. There are many things to consider when answering that quateion, size of area, lighting, manned or unmanned, environmental conditions and a whole load of other factors. Personally, for a small retail unit where cost is a major factor and online viewing isn't a requirement I would go for Hik vision. For sites where connectivity is a must, Dahua. Big sites I go with IP systems from either Dahua again, or if the budget allows I specify Avigilon. Their equipment is the best in the industry, but this comes at a cost.
