Depending on the model of vaillant you have there are different filling loops some built in under the boiler or external. The pro range has a traditional external filling loop. The plus and ecofit pure have built-in filling loops but all work the same. Turn on one valve and then the other and let the pressure rise to around 1 bar to 1.3 bar cold.

The eco Tec pro range of Vaillant boilers have built in filling links . The boiler is Re pressurised using the 2 grey control knobs below the boiler . Twisting them from the closed left to right position to the open front back position . And then returning to the closed position . If the right side valve is left open this stops the flow of hot water out of the boiler to the tap . It’s a safety feature from Vaillant

Depending on the boiler you have installed there are a few option to re-pressurise your vaillant boiler. Most vaillant boilers have a filling loop under the boiler, these are two grey knobs that are quarter turn, if you turned both of these at the same time you should hear the water filling up the heating system. Its best to fill the system to between 1 and 1.5bar when the system is cold. You could have an external filling loop installed on the system and generally they are installed close to the boiler. If you are stuck its always best to contact a local gas safe registered engineer.

Vaillant boilers vary in how to repressurise, an ecotec pro has an external filling loop which is a braided hose with check valves on. you need to turn both valves on to fill the system, Vaillant requires the pressure to be at least 0.8bar to operate. the ecotec plus has a built in filling loop under the boiler, there are two grey knobs that you turn towards you to fill the system, when pressurised you should close the filling loop and bleed radiators to remove excess air

Vaillant manufacture several models of boiler. some have integral filling loops which require the end user to top up by opening two grey valves on the underside of the boiler. some will have a standard filling loop positioned normally around the boiler with black taps. each boiler installation is different and each engineer has a preferred option for a filling system. if you are struggling to keep the pressure up or indeed top up. it would be advisable to employ a heating engineer .
