Assuming we’re talking about an average 4-5 bed house that would be about 20 years old with pvc windows and minimal preparation approx £2000 Some houses may cost as much as £5000! Different surfaces and conditions affect the amount of time it takes to prepare and decorate! I’ll list some things that make it more time consuming Wallpapering or stripping, wooden windows, carpets or no carpets, many different colours, dark colours, furniture, building site conditions, heavy nicotine staining

That all depends on size, products, amount of furniture and amount of preparation. A quality decorator wouldn’t quote blind or off photos because nobody like a surprise hike in the final price. Modern paints have a quicker re-coat time and the latest dustless sanding machines not only do a better job, they do it quicker and cleaner.

This is a question that will have many, many different answers to it. Firstly what is the existing condition of the property? Has it suffered from years of poor diy, has layers of wallpaper that needs stripping, mould and damp need treating etc. These variables will incur additional costs to get a good finish and you will pay for the preparation that is required to get there. If its a relatively new property then less prep his needed. Secondly what type of finish would you like? Different paint finishes cost different amounts along with what brand you chose. If the whole house is to be wallpapered then that will change the price again. Thirdly is there woodwork to be painted? This can tie in with the amount of prep required but say if all the woodwork in the property is stained and is desired to be changed to white gloss, this will cost more than repainting existing white woodwork. Same as if all doors are pre finished. Ballpark figures including materials you can be looking anywhere from £2500 to £10000, it is purely down to what is required on each property.
