It’s is fair to say that underfloor heating can be expensive compared with a conventional system using radiators. However the running cost of an underfloor system is lower due to the low temperatures used. It’s is also important to consider what system is being installed i.e. overlay or concrete screeds as this will affect the cost and type of flooring that can be laid on top

For electric underfloor heating, rough prices. Thermostats are £60-£100. A new power supply might be needed £100 10m2 mat £500 Labour, I would estimate that a 10m2 heating mat could be laid in less than half a day but there are other parts to consider such as room layout, wiring to thermostats and of course a 2nd visit to commission the system once the floor is laid. A 10m2 floor would be upwards of £1000
