Costs depends on multiple factors. Is the existing lock damaged and need removal, type of lock needing replacement (different types of locks have different costs) Area ( different areas around the country have different charges) If you are using a locksmith service try to give the locksmith as much detail as possible before the visit to gauge a good idea of costs involved

The price depends on two variable options, time of the day and the type of lock that needs replacing. Normal working hours we have a set "Labour & Diagnostic Charge" which means any hands on work we do as well as diagnosing the fault or parts needed. A lock varies on the grade of quality, the manufacturer and the type of lock it is. A Euro Cylinder can vary on price depending on the quality, if it's a standard cylinder or a British standard with a star rating. You also need to make sure when changing your locks that they do conform to your insurance policy, with wooden doors we only carry the insurance approved locks so even if they don't ask for the top grade you have it anyway meaning if they change their policy you won't have to fork out again on the correct locks.

This depends on the type of lock and the standard of lock you decide to have fitted and whether you have the keys to the lock to allow easy access as the price will increase if a Locksmith needs to gain entry to the property first.. A typical Euro Cylinder could be anywhere from £50 up to £150 depending on the standard you prefer. I would often double check your Home Insurance to make sure that the standard of lock you choose does not invalidate your Insurance Policy before having this fitted. I would always recommend calling a Local Locksmith and enquiring over the telephone, I have never charged a customer for a quote and have quite often price matched or beaten quotes if possible

It really depends on where you are and what time of day you need the work done. Personally I'd recommend getting at least two quotes from reputable lockmiths and completely avoid any companies paying to advertise on Google as they tend to quote a very low price then massively bump the price up once they have arrived. Be very wary of anyone who tells you a lock needs to be drilled out, unless the lock is damaged there should normally be no need to drill a lock.

As already stated by others on here, it will depend on the type of door/lock that you have. If you check out my webpage you will find a gallery section to help you identify your lock www.locknsecure.co.uk/gallery I would certainly advise getting 2-3 quotes before selecting someone to undertake the work and recommend you use a Trading Standards Approved (Buy With Confidence) tradesman for peace of mind. Getting a referral from a friend or family is always a useful source as well. Remember though that cheapest isn't always best so make sure that you are comparing like for like.

This depends on the type of lock that you have and the area in which you live but as a ball park figure (or my charges ) £70 for a euro cylinder that is generally fitted to a upvc or composite door this is for a snap secure 3⭐️ cylinder or if you have a wooden door you may have a night latch ( commonly known as Yale lock) which will cost of in the region of £45 or a BS mortice lock which I would rekey for the same price of £45 per lock.

Hi, this depends on the type of lock. A euro lock is about £65-£160 for the higher better security 3☆☆☆ star barrel. Also the time of day or night or if it's a lock out, emergency situation factors in to the cost. doors have various different types of lock and these prices also vary.

Changing a eurocylinder could cost anywhere from £70 for a basic cylinder to £180.00 for a 3 star rated higher security cylinder. Prices are also dependent on the area where you live. Other factors which may affect the price are if an emergency callout is involved, if entry has had to be gained to a property. Depending on the type of door, there are other elements of the door locking system which may need repairing or replacing. The gearbox and locking strip can also fail or need repairing. Again prices can are dictated by the cost of the locking strip or gearbox
