National Safety Inspections answered the question "How much does a PAT test cost?"

The cost of PAT testing depends primarily on the number of electrical items which need to be tested and whether any of the electrical appliances need repairing or replacing. Some contractors may price per circuit, while others may offer a package price for your whole property. It's vital to discuss with your electrician how many circuits they're planning to check, too, particularly if your property is more extensive. Prices may also differ between regions, with PAT Testing often costing more in London and the South than they do in the North of England.

The costs depend upon a mix of the time required to reach a site and complete testing, the number of equipments to be tested, any cost of (agreed quick, easy) repairs such as fuses, plugs or wiring, and possibly the cost of maintaing & updating a PAT Register. The register can be electronic (spreadsheet or a software tool) or a manually kept book depending upon the size of your organisation. PAT testing can include labelling equipment with printed Pass or Fail labels.

Prices vary depending on area and company, some companies will charge 50p per item some will charge £5 per item. as with most things I believe your better off going for someone in the middle, I charge £2.50 per item. this allows me to spend enough time on each item and give it a thorough test.
