The length of time it takes to fit a new bathroom can vary greatly depending on the size of the bathroom and the amount of work required. On average it will take between 10-14 working days for a complete refurb. This includes removal of existing suite items/wall tiles/flooring, Wall prep including plastering & tiling, Floor laying, installation of new bathroom suite including any alteration to pipework or drainage and any electrical that may need completing. A simple change of bathroom suite with no change to tiling or flooring will usually be a lot quicker.

depending on how far the work is going . if the job is a complete rip out and restart i would allow at least 10 working days for all works this would be removal of existing bathroom suit , wall tiles , flooring ect. installation of new pipework and fixings. wall and ceiling works i.e plastering / render if needed. wiring if new lights / fan . tiling decorating and installation of new bathroom suit and fixtures. also depends on room size as some works may be completed faster if smaller space. 10 days is just a rule of thumb i use on complete referb.

Really all depends on size and scope of the job. we always tell our customers 10-14 days, we will add in the drying time of plaster, time taken for the tiler and any set backs that could pop up. we are usually bang on with 10-12 days for a mid size bathroom. but again size and scope will always be a factor some jobs will take 3 weeks.

Mint Plumbing & Bathrooms Ltd answered the question "How long does it take to fit a new bathroom?"

We usually allow 9 working days to complete most bathroom installations from start to finish, this allows us a little time before the tiler starts if it's needed & it also gives the tiles a day to dry out before we come back to second fix / complete the installation. Of course, the size of the installation can play a part in how long an installation is likely to take, a simple straight swap bathroom could be completed quicker if the client needed a quick turn around.

Fully depends on the same and scale of the job. Most complete bathroom re fits take around 10day to complete. Rip out, alter plumbing, plastering, electrics, tiling then 2nd fix suite. Larger scale bathrooms can be 2-3weeks depending on design. Mainly depends on what is found once a suite it taken out. We had to completely replace floor joists due to rot and insert steels in a bathroom before.

There’s no definitive timescale for bathroom installations as they are all different. But on average a complete re fit takes around 2 weeks. This would be for a complete rip out, altering all the plumbing supplies and waste runs. Altering electrics, plastering and tiling. 2nd fixing the sanitary ware.

This is all depending on the size and the layout. When we carry out estimations we explain that every job is different and it depends what we come across on the rip out. A basic bathroom with no extras or moving of waste, soil and copper pipes is an average of 10 working days. If with have to remove old plaster work and reboard with hardie back and move pipe work, Electrics before tiling and 2nd fixing then it can possibly run in to 20 working days.

Well I guess that can all depend on what's being replaced and with what. Of course the size of the room and the condition of the existing room. And obviously how many people will be working on the bathroom. I would normally complete a bathroom within about 2-3 weeks depending on the spec.

Here at Heatwize we always plan out our bathroom installations so the customer knows what to expect. For a full installation, we'd take 2-3 days to rip out and 1st fix, 3-5 days to prepare walls and tile if required, then 2 days to 2nd fix and complete. These timescales really do depend on the size of your bathroom, quality of materials and how much tiling is required.

Michael Frith Plumbing answered the question "How long does it take to fit a new bathroom?"

This normally depends on the size of the bathroom and the amount of work required, At Michael Frith Plumbing i normally allow 10 days for most complete bathroom refurbishment jobs. This would include the ripping out of existing bathroom products and alteration of any pipework and electrics to suit the new installation, preparing walls and floors for tiling or other coverings, installation of bathroom suite and shower products, clearing site and rubbish removal. A basic straight swap bathroom suite without any major alterations or tiling would take approximately 2 to 3 days.
