SB Builders answered the question "How high can a fence be without planning permission?"

A standard height a fence can be to the rear of a property is 6 feet. This can be increased by adding trellis. Some boroughs will allow up to 8 feet height plus trellis. Most areas have information on the local councils web sites and it is always best to check with a local authority before work commences.
