How do solar panels work?

A.D. Energy answered the question "How do solar panels work?"

There are sensors on the panels and cylinder that read what temperatures they are at. If heat is needed and the panels are warm enough, the pump activates and pumps the glycol around the system. The glycol then transfers heat from the panel to the cylinder coil and heats the water. This heat if adequate enough can transfer very quickly and can provide higher temperatures of hot water than a conventional boiler.
