yes it is advisable two have your solar thermal system services every year to check performance is good, and that there solar glycol is good quality and has deteriorated, ensuring optimum heat transfer and protection from adverse weather conditions, like freezing in the winter months.

Yes they do. Adequate checks such as glycol content, correct flow rate and safety devices all need checking. The system may be working correctly but not efficiency or safely. System flushing may also be required if there are any indications of air in the system. Pressure will need to be set correctly and checking the controls are working is also required.
