Colours can be a personal choice for every person. All I would say is if you don’t get a lot of natural light coming into the hallway area, then I would advise using light colours to keep the area light and bright. If you have a large open space with plenty of natural light coming in you might be able to get away with darker colours on your walls, with lighter shade of colour on your woodwork which will make your darker walls standout more.

No one can really say what the best paint is because every painter has their own preferences and brands what they like to use. One of the paints I like to use from Dulux would be diamond Matt which is a hard wearing durable wall paint. Another paint I would use and recommend would be Valspar V700, which is also a hardwearing durable wall paint. I find it’s a good paint for touch ups if you have any damaged walls. Apart from those choices Crown and Layland are also big competitors in the painting market. Then you have your upper market paints such as F&B and Little Green.

Ideas for painting a bedroom. You could opt for just painting four walls the same colour with white ceilings and white woodwork like most people do or paint the wall behind the headboard in a vibrant colour then you could accessorise with ornaments or cushions to match the feature wall. You could also introduce a nice wallpaper or even better a Mural to a wall. Some of the Murals are expensive but worth the money as they will give you a touch of luxury to your room. If you want a dash of style and colour you could opt to have geometric wall painted with different shades of colour. If you don’t fancy any of these ideas then you could always paint your ceiling a shade of colour.
