A year prior we had a new French door and kitchen door fitted. Very happy with service and clean friendly fitters and no upselling. Had a lovely conservatory fitted (after some delays mainly down to Covid-19) which we are very happy with. The guys that fitted it (Ryan and Cliff) were absolutely brilliant, Very professional and friendly. they also cleaned up after themselves every day, my granddaughters thought they were great. The buliders they used to dig the footings and lay the slab (Matt and Dave) likewise were very professonal. There was a delay from ordering to having the constuction started mainly due to the Covid issues and I did have to chase up a couple of times, even after asking for regular updates. Overall We are very satisfied with our new conservatory and would have no qualms about using or recommending Martindale Windows and Development again if the need arises

We approached three local companies, all similar size, to quote for: - a warm roof conservatory to replace existing, replacement windows and doors, replacement guttering and downpipes throughout the house and garage. All substantial works to the existing which is built on a slope, has restricted access and some steep perimeter levels to overcome. The old conservatory was uninsulated, timber with a plastic roof, dilapidated and let in the rain. Overarching requirements - to find a company that we felt comfortable with, one that would be reliable, could provide a guarantee on good quality materials and workmanship and had trades that we could trust in the home and around the dogs. Lead in? - comparable with their competitors. How was the price? - not the cheapest (marginally more than the lowest) but then you get what you pay for. What swayed the decision? - we felt comfortable with Jeff and the pre-sales team, and with the positive online reviews, and the accurate interpretation of our requirements. Design and delivery? - the conservatory design was taken from a photo we saw in a magazine; we had no drawings. The brief was to provide an anthracite grey conservatory with glazing on two sides, outward opening double doors, a high performance warm flat roof with ceiling same height as the lounge, a solid insulated full height brick/block flank wall, plastered new and existing walls throughout, and new electric power and lighting. They delivered a design and build service which met our requirements exactly, transforming the old conservatory into a great new room for Xmas. More of an extension to the house than an add-on. How long did it take? - overall, longer than expected due to the covid crisis, but then the same goes for their competitors. Programme / supply? - despite materials being called off piecemeal due to the crisis, they successfully scheduled in the fitting of windows and doors, and the securing and continuity of building trades. Communication? they kept us well informed and only seldom did we need to chase/nudge. Extra work? - we asked for one extra item and were able to negotiate on the cost. Approvals? - their quote included obtaining the necessary approvals on our behalf. Snags and after sales service? - responsive and keen to sort out any issues.

Every person involved has turned up when they said they would and each has been professional and thorough. Ryan and Cliff the fitters were the carlsberg of fitters. Great from start to finish, I was phoned a few weeks before and given an estimated date which was before Christmas which was wonderful, the father and son team turned up on the given date and got straight on with the job, completing in the 3 day time frame that was originally given. All mess was tidied away, the standard of work was top quality. I put my trust into this company due to the reviews I'd seen so I hope my review helps others to put the trust in the team at Martindales too. Quoted over £3000 more by safestyle for lesser graded windows! I will definitely use them again when it comes to either change my front door and porch windows or maybe even the conservatory. Tony (Installations) and his team were punctual, very courteous, knowledgeable, tidy, helpful and always happy, especially to ensure that our concerns as to how the installation of 34 units were to be undertaken were fully explained before the job commenced. On a job of this size with parts of the house dating back to the 18th century, challenges occurred which were fully assessed, discussed with resultant decisions implemented with the minimum of fuss with the whole overall job resulting in very little damage to the outside rendering and the inside walls and sills - rather remarkable and greatly appreciated. I cannot rate these guys highly enough and the whole company including Tony (Sales), Scott (Ops) and Jeff (Survey) were at pains to ensure that the customer was happy - which I surely am! Well done and thank you MDW for taking on such a large job resulting in a great experience with the resultant windows and doors looking resplendent!

Highly recommend this company. Workman are polite and friendly with a great work ethic and really are excellent at what they do. Job was completed to a stella standard. There was some delay in completing the whole job but I believe this was due to the current issue with sickness due to COVID. This was a 1st floor balcony patio door installation which required a steel lintel. It has made a significant difference to my daughter who lives there. They discovered on the day that wrong glass size had been ordered but pulled the stops out to replace with bespoke dimensions the following day. Simlutaneous to this job we had over £20k of conservatory and 2 windows installed in Wales by another installer so able to compare service. Martindale was a delight from the measurement, to the communication, to the installation, and the invoicing. I hope to use them again this year on another job and won't hesitate.

From the initial engagement and requesting a quote I knew they were the company I would choose to do the work. There was no pushy sales tactic and we had some great suggestions on ideas (1 of which we proceeded with and now looks amazing) They were great at keeping me updated on progress and while the Covid situation put a slight pause on the installation date they got in touch a week prior to check if I was comfortable that they could install on the first day they were able to begin work again. Martindale replaced French doors to conservatory and we were so pleased with it we've now replaced the French doors to garden with another bi-fold door. The bi-fold doors are very good and are good value, and we asked for the same fitters as they'd made such a good job the first time. They arrived on time, are very pleasant and their workmanship is very good and tidy and they cleaned up very well too. In all a good experience and recommend them.

After searching on the internet for replacement windows, we came across Martindale Windows which we had not heard about before, so we read the reviews, which all seemed pretty much like glowing reports. From meeting Joe in sales and discussing our requirements, visiting the showroom to see / choose the style of windows + doors, to the work being carried out, even making the payments, the staff were amazing The work was clean, tidy and efficient and the results are amazing. Many thanks to Clive and Ryan (Fitters). We will not hesitate in recommending Martindale Windows to friends and family and will certain be using them again when we carry out an extension.

Frustratingly slow and constantly having to chase the job. posted 04/02/2020

Overall, the job has been completed to a good standard but the process up to completion was frustrating after we had actually made our order. We were advised a weeks lead time but this day came and went and after repeatedly calling them, we were told it was going to be another 3 weeks.. which completely threw the rest of our build schedule. The fitters came and did the job successfully, other than leaving the door handle unscrewed and a large scratch on the frame. Again, we constantly had to call them to chase them actually finishing the job and fixing the scratch, all whilst getting invoices to pay.. they came out, fixed the handle but made the scratch worse with a poor cover job. We ended up waiting for them to contact us to actually fix the large scratch, which took weeks but finally they sent out some contractors to spray paint it which luckily has done a good job. Hopefully it’ll last properly. Overall the windows and door look great, and we found it fairly reasonable cost wise, it’s just a shame the organisation and communication was so poor in the process.

The fitters removed old French doors between lounge and conservatory and replaced them with aluminium bi-fold doors within four hours, making an excellent job with an eye to detail. They were very pleasant and cleaned up very well after they'd finished and ensured we were happy with the doors, work, leaving us nothing to do except admire the new doors. All in all we're very happy with the product and the service. We would recommend them.

Large bi fold door manufactured and installed in just a few weeks. Really good service from the team starting in the showroom where they talked us through the options, showed us samples and gave honest reviews of the products on offer. The surveyor was excellent, he talked us through how it would work and made sure we got it exactly as we wanted it. Delivery and installation went perfectly, they delivered a day early which worked perfectly for us and the quality of the finish and fitting was excellent. Price was very competitive and better value than all others we looked at with a far quicker turnaround of production and fitting. All in all, I cannot recommend them highly enough!

The window was replaced by 2 fitters who worked well together making the job reasonably quick. The fitters were very polite and tidy. After a lengthy selection process, my husband and I decided to choose Martindale Window's to manage and complete our new warm roof conservatory. It was the best decision we made. Russell managed it all. Numerous site visits to go through all the specifications/designs right through to managing the sub contractors to installation of the windows, doors and Guardian roof by Martindale's themselves. All the subcontractors Martindale selected were spot on. Professional, pleasant and turned up when they said they would and we felt we could trust them all 110% and they all carried out an excellent job in relation to their trade. One of the main things that stood out to us about Martindale's throughout this process, was how small hiccups were rectified. Nothing was too much trouble, you always felt comfortable raising things or asking questions. Everything was addressed with pace and care. We've now been left with an amazing additional space to our home which will make a huge difference to our growing family. Everyone comments on the usable/practical space, and I now feel it really does make our house feel like a home. Since this big project we have had further work completed by Martindale's such as doors and windows, and again everything has been to great standard and would thoroughly recommend. The new front door is fantastic and has given our house a real facelift, and the new French doors are a massive improvement on the old Patio doors. We found Martindale as they were local to us. Right from the first phone call, we found them friendly and professional. They had to move the installation date due to doors not coming in to them and they made sure they fitted into our schedules. New front door and back door were installed extremely efficiently and all debris was cleared away. They moved our old back door to replace a door on our garage and this involved a lot of effort to make it fit, but all done with no fuss. I noticed a small blemish (approx 1mm x 5mm white mark on black) on our front door a few days after installation, Russell came round quickly and was able to remove this. We would recommend Martindale to anyone, without hesitation - good old fashioned values and true customer service focussed.

How to double glaze a 1930s property and retain the period features? Russ promised to use wood-look frames on the windows, copy exactly the leaded lights pattern in the glass and instal a modern porch door that didn’t obscure the existing front door. We were sceptical but OMG he did it and only took 2 days. We just love it! The increased warmth and reduced traffic noise was apparent instantly. Roll on winter - we’re ready for you this time.

We had a new front door and surrounding side lights fitted by Martindale. From the start they were really helpful. I liked being able to get a rough estimate of cost of the door on their website. The work they completed was to a high standard although as our house is an older property, the fitting wasn't straightforward and took longer than planned. The finish looks great and it makes a huge difference to our house. We're very happy.

A very friendly group off professional tradesmen, The windows and door were installed with no issues - They started the Conservatory the week we had the first lot of snow but the team battled on and got the footings in before the snow hit - they returned the following week to complete the brickwork ready for the glass to be installed again not the best weather condition's to work in but the team were always friendly and polite the electricians arrived shortly after followed by the plasterers shortly after- everything was completed to a very high standard. Needed to replace very aged windows. Decided upon aluminium, with white interior and dark grey exterior. Martindale quoted and advised appropriately regarding questions and front door proposals. They weren't the cheapest but were close and seemed to offer high quality. Job ran very smoothly.
