What are the benefits of installing an unvented cylinder?
Unvented cylinders are perfect for larger properties with 2 or more bathrooms to run at the same time. They remove the need for a cold water storage tank in a loft, which frees up space should you wish to have a loft conversion. It also lowers the risk of legionella as the water is not exposed to the elements. They are heavily insulated keeping the water hotter for longer. The recovery rate from cold is very quick and comes with an immersion heater for back up if the boiler fails
What is the best combi boiler?
Our favourite combi boiler would be the Vaillant Ecotec Plus, they are well built and easy to work on. Repairing and servicing can be achieved in under an hour, which keeps the cost down for the end user. When paired with Vaillant controls it will increase the efficiency rating compared to an on/off thermostat.
What is the best smart thermostat in 2020?
We personally prefer the Nest thermostat in terms of style, ease of function and will work on all types of systems from one device. It has the ability to support opentherm technology depending on boiler manufacturer. However the best smart thermostat to buy if having a new boiler installed would be the manufacturers smart thermostat, they work seamlessly together and open up another level of efficiency which third party thermostats cant do. Therefore making your boiler more efficient then any other stat on the market.
