I contacted Fort Cox as my pvc door would not lock from the outside. Jason replied to my email straight away and we arranged a suitable time for him to look at door. Price quoted was price I paid and he cut me 2 spare keys straight away. I was really impressed and would definitely use again and recommended to anyone needing a locksmith.

Should I change door locks if I've lost my house keys?
I would definitely be looking at changing my locks if I had lost my keys, picture the person you would least like to be in possession of your keys then think would you hand the keys to them in the street and tell them that you are working out of town and nobody will be at home for a few hours - you wouldn’t do it would you?so how can you be sure you not going to do that inadvertently? By changing your locks of course,it puts you back in control of who has access to yours and your family’s home.
How much does it cost for a locksmith to unlock your house?
This can vary with contributing factors being the type of lock/ door, the area in which you live, whether it is out of hours and whether you have just lost keys or the lock is malfunctioning but it is always best to get a verbal estimate before agreeing to the services this way you should have a “ball park” figure to work with, always ask whether the lock will be opened non destructively ( presuming you have another key elsewhere to operate the lock) and if you are told it will be then you should not be expected to pay for a new lock. I can not speak for anyone other than my company but presuming it is middle of the day and you need a upvc door opening (euro cylinder) to which you have more keys inside then my charge is a flat £75 charge.
How much does it cost to change a lock on a front door?
This depends on the type of lock that you have and the area in which you live but as a ball park figure (or my charges ) £70 for a euro cylinder that is generally fitted to a upvc or composite door this is for a snap secure 3⭐️ cylinder or if you have a wooden door you may have a night latch ( commonly known as Yale lock) which will cost of in the region of £45 or a BS mortice lock which I would rekey for the same price of £45 per lock.
