Dave attended our home and we gave him an idea of what we required, he quickly came up with some suggestions as to how we could improve the layout and better use of space in our cloak room. Dave attended on the date and time agreed and transformed our downstairs cloakroom 'glory hole' into a totally different room. As a result of his professionalism, friendliness and the superb workmanship we employed him to refurbish our large kitchen, again his thoughts and advice were invaluable. Dave is always prepared to listen to the requirements you need and what you think may be a problem he will work something out to get round that problem. We have recommended him to friends who have been impressed with the work he has carried out at our home.

What is the best wood for exterior cladding?
I personally would only use pressure treated timber. Cedar is fine but it dries out quickly and cracking happens. Pressure treated is therefore preferred timber. You can select any timber to be pressure treated and even though treatment isn’t required, it can to colour it
What are the pros and cons of laminate flooring?
Depends where it’s being fitted. Pros are.... Quick and easy to fit. Choice of laminate for different applications ( wet area or living area ) Choice of quality of laminate.. Hard wearing and good finish Cons Replacing a damaged board isn’t easy..as most laminate is interlocked via t&g or other methods. Some cheaper laminates chip easily You need insulation before laying the laminate, which increases the cost. Unless you want beading all around your skirting, it requires new skirting also...
How much do built-in wardrobes cost?
Generally I don’t quote for wardrobes or most bespoke jobs unless I see the job first, and depends what internal look your after. The last wardrobe I did was using the ikea range, much cheaper option and are built well and can be tailored to fit most spaces. I built one in birch plywood with finished coated MDF for the doors and for a 3m wide by 2.4m in height with two hanging spaces, drawers and shelving it was £1800

Hard working, Dave is a perfectionist who is willing to consider every wish of the customer offering practical solutions to the most complex of jobs. Dave completely refitted our en-suite and main bathrooms. We were that pleased he did our kitchen the following year. An excellent carpenter Dave has hung every internal door in our house and he recommended where we considered purchasing an external door. Their service was just as excellent as Dave's. I would not hesitate to recommend DG Construction Solutions.
