Craig found a solution that sorted the heating and hot water whilst helping me address the bigger problem which was related to the building. Helped out when my tenants struggled with restarting the boiler as well. Very good all round.

Craig is a very polite and well informed engineer, his knowledge on systems with complexities (e.g. underfloor heating and zones) was great. He discovered our issue with the boiler quickly and repaired the system very effectively to get us up and running again. Craig also provided some key advice on how we could effectively improve our zoned smart set up which should save us time and money in the future. I will use Craig for any further work in this field.

Do you need planning permission to render your house?
You don’t normally need planning permission to render your home unless it’s a listed building or another scheme to keep buildings in keeping with its heritage and surroundings if the whole house is being rendered then technically building regs should be involved as anything above 25% should be notified. This would also mean the insulation of the walls maybe required to be upgraded
How long does plaster take to dry?
Plaster drying times can very on many factors. Main ones are temperature and the thickness the plaster has been applied and also how much moisture is in the air and also air movement plays a part in the time it takes. On average it takes up to three weeks with gypsum plaster.trying to speed drying will normally introduce crazing or poor adherence and lead to fail You can however use airless plaster which is normally dry within 48 hours
Do I need a chimney for a gas fire?
Theirs a wide range of fires to choose from. Fires needing a flue up a chimney but also ones with none at all and others that have a rear flue that runs horizontally through the wall behind the unit. Each fire will come with manufacturers instructions for your gas engineer. Sales representative at the showroom can help with choosing the right fire for where it’s going to be installed
