Why service a boiler? What are the benefits of boiler servicing?
Boiler servicing is very important. The main benefits are to check the safety of boiler, the efficiency and to prevent any future problems. This is very important as one problem could lead to many and can be costly. Safety is paramount. We always recommend that a gas safe engineer is used for a boiler service.
Will a boiler service fix my faulty boiler?
Not always. We always need to know wether or not the boiler has any faults. If we know then there is more of a chance that the boiler can be repaired during the service. Extra parts may be needed. A service is to prevent faults in the future and make sure the system is running safely and efficiently.
How to increase solar panel efficiency?
There are a few things you can do for this. 1) Have your engineer increase the temperature of what your solar can heat your hot water cylinder to. 2) Set the heating of your hot water from your boiler to off in the warmer months and only boost if required. 3) Only have the heating of your hot water from the boiler on for one hour in the morning or evening. 4) Try to run off some hot water during the day. This can have a massive effect on the lifespan of your panels.
